Resting heart rate is one of the most reliable indicators of cardiovascular fitness and recovery status. Your iPhone has been collecting it passively every day for as long as you have owned it. Most people check it occasionally in the Health app summary, see a number, and move on. The number alone is not particularly useful. The trend over 30 days is.
ChatGPT can read a data export from Apple Health, find the patterns in 30 days of resting heart rate readings, and tell you specifically what is worth paying attention to. This takes about 15 minutes from start to finish, requires no subscription beyond a standard ChatGPT account, and produces a concrete suggestion you can test this week rather than a vague recommendation to sleep more.
The full export approach works best, but for executives who want a faster path, the screenshot method in Step 1 below produces almost as much insight in half the time.

The guide includes the full export steps, analysis prompts, and pattern interpretation framework.
Step 1: Export Your Resting Heart Rate Data
Screenshot method (5 minutes): Open the Apple Health app. Tap Browse, then Heart, then Resting Heart Rate. Change the time range to 3 months. Take a screenshot of the chart. If you have an iPhone 15 or later with the scrolling screenshot option, capture the full chart. This is the fast path.
Full data export (10 minutes): In Apple Health, tap your profile picture in the top right, then Export All Health Data. A zip file downloads to your Files app. Inside, find the export.xml file. The resting heart rate readings are tagged as "HKQuantityTypeIdentifierRestingHeartRate." You can also ask ChatGPT to parse the full export and filter for just resting heart rate once you upload it.
